New Home Inspections

Welcome, This is the Home Inspector blog. Today I will let you know the necessity of having a new home inspected. Most new home buyers wonder why they would need to have a new home inspected. Believe it or not, I find many defects in the new construction of homes, some of which are major. I have inspected homes in which the roof was not properly installed, the A/C units were not large enough for the square footage of the home as well as many other defects. Most homes that are inspected by City inspectors, are only inspected for code compliance. These inspectors do not get on the roof or in the attics. They do not check all of the electrical outlets and components of the mechanical systems. If you are buying a new home and are not sure if you should have it inspected, believe me, you do.
